Cette "chanson du bateau de Unst" est l'une des plus anciennes chansons de l'île. Unst est l'île la plus septentrionale de l'archipel des Shetland en Écosse, qui était habitée par des Norvégiens. La chanson est en langue 'Norn', un dialecte éteint du norvégien autrefois parlé à Unst.
